DMCA Copyright Policy

Last Updated: December 26, 2025

Open TV Streams respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

We respond to valid copyright notices and will remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content when appropriate.

1. Our Copyright Policy

1.1 Nature of Our Service

Open TV Streams is a streaming aggregation platform that provides links to publicly available, free-to-air television broadcasts. We do not host, store, or upload video content ourselves. Instead, we:

  • Aggregate publicly available stream URLs from official broadcaster websites
  • Provide a user interface for discovering and accessing these streams
  • Link to content that is freely accessible on the public internet
  • Respect robots.txt and other technical restrictions

1.2 Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Respecting the intellectual property rights of content creators and broadcasters
  • Responding promptly to valid DMCA takedown notices
  • Removing or disabling access to allegedly infringing content when legally required
  • Terminating accounts of repeat infringers
  • Cooperating with copyright holders to protect their rights

2. DMCA Safe Harbor Compliance

Open TV Streams operates as a service provider under the DMCA Safe Harbor provisions (17 U.S.C. § 512). We have implemented policies and procedures to:

  • Designate a DMCA agent to receive infringement notices
  • Respond to takedown notices in accordance with the DMCA
  • Implement a repeat infringer policy
  • Accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

You should file a DMCA takedown notice if:

  • You are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • You believe that content accessible through our service infringes your copyright
  • You want us to remove or disable access to that content

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because we aggregate publicly available streams, you may need to contact the original broadcaster or content source directly. We can only remove links from our platform; we cannot remove content from external servers.

We maintain records of takedown notices and track repeat offenders.

7. Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents:

Many disputes can be resolved more quickly through direct communication.
